Osbourne Bay is an anchorage three hours sail from Southampton. Its easy accessibility means it’s busy. It’s so busy there is a small motor boat servicing the ice-cream needs of anchored sailors. Large crowds of people – even boat people – is not an attractive quality in an anchorage. This being the first time I anchored in Isabella however, I loved it. This was my dream, its what motivated me to buy a boat. Dropping the hook off a new beach, rowing ashore and cooking over fires. The reality of the day didn’t match up to that ideal type but it was the first taste, so it didn’t have to. I can’t wait to go further, explore more.
